The Janus robe is a classic everyday piece in Italian summer weight cotton. The body has been perfected for a flattering and comfortable fit, most notably at the shoulder. Janus is the ancient Roman god of transitions, beginnings, and endings, whose presence was invoked to mark the beginning of all ceremonies. He was thought to preside over war and peace, opening and closing the doors of his temple to mark the transition.
